MS推出Surface Phone炒得熱哄哄, 正當人人都想知道是否由華碩旗下公司代工之時. 久未露面, 曾預言芒果可以登月的MSNerd今日爆出叧一段”來自多個消息來源”的預言: 代工公司是華為及聯發科!!
假如各位不清楚聯發科是什麼一回事的話, 該公司曾經製作一款晶片, 可以將手機各原本由不同晶片負責的系統化為一體, 以簡化手機及其製作工序. 從此我們就多了一個Techniacal Jargon–山寨機…
當然, 聯發科只是造就山寨機概念的始創人, 山寨機質素參差大部份因素是因為聯發科直接降低手機製作門檻, 山寨廠又毫無QC所致. 但由聯發科代工, 我們可以預期其成本理應比over-priced的和碩低, 甚至Surface Phone不是頂班機…

Zune HD都係Hello from Seattle, Assembled in China啦. Surface Phone全機軟硬件都係由MS親自制作/挑選, 華為同MTK只係負責砌機, 理應唔會參隻腳落設計果part, 算係MS親生仔啦呱
Surface phone 走性價路線，吸引 😀
Mediatek is just a app/baseband supplier. Huawei would be the odm. If MSFT support mtk chips, this could be big since all sanzhai can make WP then. We can see rmb1000 wp soon. But I doubt how MSFT can control license fee with sanzhai
MS do strictly controls the hardware requirement of WP, so, the h/w issue wasn’t going to be too big, I am only concerning the QC part of the game, which shanzhai totally lacks. Or WP will step on the trail on Android, not as the whole, but at the shanzhai part of the game.
