由 昨天 Nokia 發佈 Lumia 610 以求在低階市場可以搶攻最大的市佔率, 不少人還擔心一部只有800MHz CPU 的手機會不會操作不流暢, 就小編看過國外不少的實機試玩短片後可以說流暢度方面相當不錯!

不過小編要跟大家報導一個壞消息! 大家應該留意到這台最新的低階手機只有256MB 記憶體, 而這個硬件放寬的最大影響就是 背景工作支援問題!
You can use most features offered in Windows Phone OS 7.1 on 256-MB devices with no performance issues. However, generic background agents are not supported on 256-MB devices, and a few additional features should be used with care so you do not exceed the memory limit of the application.
Avoid Generic Background Agents
The only feature that is not supported on 256-MB devices is generic background agents. The following agents are not supported:
- Resource-intensive tasks
- Periodic tasks
上文節錄自MSDN資料庫, 內容大致上是說明 開發者可以在不損效能的情況以256MB的裝置去運作WP7.5 的大部份功能。不過”背景工作”是唯一一個不被256MB裝置支援的功能, 當中包括 1) 資源密集型工作 2) 定時性工作
小編希望在這邊澄清一下, 在這邊提及的背景工作並不影響基本的背景MP3 播放功能, 或者 Whatsapp 類軟件的 Push Notification 功能等! 因為256MB以不支援的功能有如: 定期上網更新天氣並顯示到Live Tiles 上, 又或者YouTube Pro 的背景下載影片功能等才會受到影響!
至於”軟件間之快速切換”這工能, 雖然不至於出現不支持, 但仍然會在256MB 手機上有一定程度的限制。
Fast Application Switching is supported on 256-MB devices. However, because keeping applications in a dormant state for Fast Application Switching is dependent on the phone’s available memory, an application running on 256-MB devices are will be terminated and tombstoned more often and more quickly than the same application running on a phone with more memory. 因為快速切換功能同樣牽涉到手機記憶體容量的使用, 所以256MB 手機會比 512MB 手機, 有更多機會因為記憶體不足而使切換程式後, 出現關閉之前已開啟的程式的情況。(如果未來有1GB 記憶體的手機又會不會打破現有最多6個的程式切換呢?)
微軟要搶攻低階市場已經是不爭的事實! 只是在這過程中, 難免會出現我們最不想見到的”功能差異化”(如 iPhone 3 也同樣不支援多工作業, iPhone 3GS 也沒有前置鏡頭作 FaceTime)。儘管微軟聲稱現時有九成以上的軟件可以在Tango上運作, 但當中會不會有上面的使用限制。又未來 Mango 升級到 Apollo 後會不會有更多的功能差異化呢?? 我們拭目以待!
