由 Whatsapp for WP 推出了更新，版本為2.8.8，大家可去下載! 小編在apps 簡介找不到是次更新內容，大家需要自行發掘啊!
萊特更新: 最新版Whatsapp 已經加入大家期待已久的對話紀錄備份功能, 用家可以利用電子郵件把紀錄轉換成文字並傳送電子郵件, 可惜經小編測試這備份功能未能如iOS, Android一樣有還原功能, 而且暫時只支援最多520個訊息的備份, 希望日後能更新有所改善!
如果使用WP8 的用家要注意, Whatsapp 最新版因為與WP8有支援性問題, 所以現階段已經被下架, 至於何時回復正常, 官方未有定出時間表, 希望各位新入手WP8 但未安裝Whatsapp的朋友能耐心等待, 有進一步消息, 本站會再為大家報導!!

WMPoweruser已就這問題聯絡過WhatsApp方面，WhatsApp方面也不確定何時才準備好:
“Sorry, WhatsApp is not fully supported on Windows Phone 8 and we cannot comment on future timelines.”

Yep~ this is a big problem in HK i guess. Because HK use whatsapp more. But if they are updating in 7.5, that means WP8 version should be back quick. I think you can use LINE for now as a lot of ppl in HK use that also. Or SMS. Still can communicate. WP8 ver. should out soon.
更新後第一次開始時，會進行優化，優化了近 10 分鐘才能用
接收圖片（終於）恢復正常（之前每次接收一張圖片後就不能接收，要把 Whatsapp 關掉重開，現在沒問題），打開圖片的速度也大幅提升（比起之前，如果單一聯絡人的收發圖片很多的話，要等近 30 秒，現在 3 秒就可以了），但程序開啟速度仍然是龜速
Improvements not mentioned above:
1) You can now zoom in/out when viewing pictures in media page
2) Item number added in media page, e.g. file number / total number of files
Issue:
1) When you view the media page of a chat, there are blank area. Media items should line up one by one.
2) Also in media page, when there are a large number of media items and you scroll down quickly, application crashes.
3) The first time I run Whatsapp after update in Chats page, application crashes when I scroll down. It does not happen afterwards.
4) Your chats will be re-ordered after update. Originally it should be in chronological order of your last message time.
Old problems still exist:
1) Long messages cannot be displayed after certain length – displays as black area.
2) If you have long chat history and if you scroll up to fund really old messages, application starts to flicker.
One more improvement, chats search has been fixed. Previously under some occasions if you press Search button it just load forever and you cannot search anything.
